AURA

1. Who we are

Aura is provided by Shinn Digital (David Shinn), an individual developer in the United States. Contact: davidshinn@shinndigital.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Aura. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using Aura, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

3. Your account

Aura uses anonymous accounts by default — no email or password required. You may, in a future version of the app, choose to link your account to a sign-in method. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account.

4. Subscriptions

Aura offers premium content through optional auto-renewing subscriptions, billed through Google Play:

• Aura Premium Monthly — $7.99 per month
• Aura Premium Yearly — $47.99 per year

How billing works

• Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• Your Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.
• We do not control Google Play billing. Refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policy.

What you get

Premium subscribers receive access to additional content sections (such as Shadow Self, Love Patterns, and the 30-Day Forecast) and other features identified in the app as premium.

Free trial

If we offer a free trial, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals — you continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.

5. Acceptable use

When using Aura, you agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Use Aura to harass, defame, or harm any person
• Add fake or fictitious people as "connections" with the intent to harm someone real
• Attempt to bypass paywall restrictions or otherwise gain unauthorized access to premium features
• Use Aura in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or networks

We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these rules.

6. AI-generated content

Daily readings, compatibility insights, and other dynamic text in Aura are generated in part using artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude). This content:

• Is generated automatically based on your aura type and the date
• May occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or unexpected language
• Should not be relied upon as factual, predictive, or diagnostic

By using Aura you accept that the content is AI-generated and that we do not guarantee its accuracy.

7. Entertainment only

Aura is intended for entertainment, self-reflection, and personal exploration. Aura is NOT:

• Medical or psychological advice
• A substitute for therapy, counseling, or any professional service
• Predictive of future events
• Scientifically validated personality testing

Do not make important life decisions based on Aura content. If you are experiencing distress, please consult a qualified mental health professional.

8. Intellectual property

All app code, design, text templates, copy, and brand elements are owned by Shinn Digital or licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute any part of Aura without written permission.

The specific text of your AI-generated daily readings is provided to you for personal use. You may share individual readings (e.g. as screenshots or the in-app share card) for non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Aura is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
• We do not warrant that Aura's content is accurate, complete, or useful.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Shinn Digital be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, business opportunity, or goodwill
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use Aura

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Aura will not exceed the greater of:

• The amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or
• $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limits on certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Privacy

Your use of Aura is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Aura at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using Aura at any time by uninstalling the app.

Upon termination, sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify users through the app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Aura after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Aura must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Montgomery, Tennessee, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Shinn Digital regarding Aura, and supersede any prior agreements.
